Hand Engraved Point Turner/Seam Creaser

This versatile solid brass tool was hand machined and hand engraved by The Tool Engraver (@thetoolengraver on IG).

It has many uses in Tailoring and Leathercraft applications to include:

• Creating sharp corners: Use the pointed end of the point turner to push out corners on collars, cuffs, pockets, and bags. 
  
• Reducing bulk: Distribute fabric evenly to reduce bulk in seams. 
  
• Creating professional finishes: Ensure projects look neat and polished. 
  
• Creasing: Use the curved end of the point turner to create sharp creases on fabric. 
  
• Unfastening basting stitches: Use the point turner to easily unfasten basting stitches. 
  
• Marking fabric: Use the edges of the point turner to mark fabric. 

It’s a stout piece compared to others on the market at 3/16” thick, 3/4” wide, and 4” in total length.

The engraved design was created from scratch and executed using a Steve Lindsay hand graver.

The American scroll design, typical of the turn of the last century, is a hat tip to the engravers of the time.

The engraving was performed on both sides and darkened to complement the lightly polished metal.
