Beautiful minty Vintage Gingher Pelican Scissors, hand engraved by The Tool Engraver. (@thetoolengraver on Instagram).
The engraved design was created from scratch and executed using a Steve Lindsay hand graver.
The overall length is 6 inches.
The American scroll design, typical of the turn of the last century, is a hat tip to the engravers of the time.
The engraving was darkened to compliment the lightly polished metal.
Gingher "pelican" scissors are officially known as Gingher Appliqué Scissors, which feature a unique paddle-shaped blade designed for precise, controlled cuts close to the stitching without damaging the base fabric. These specialized scissors are ideal for intricate detail work in quilting, sewing, and general crafting.
